Stacy Jimenez

I am the Mayor of the Foster City Council, having been elected in 2022. I previously served as the Vice- Chair of the city’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. As a member of the City Council I also serve on regional bodies such as the City and County Association of Governments, Commute.org and the Child Care Partnership Council among numerous appointments.

In addition, I am active in several civic and philanthropic organizations, including serving as president of the San Mateo High School Music Boosters, the League of Women Voters of North and Central San Mateo County, the American Legion’s Auxiliary Post 105, among others.

I have a long history of activism, having worked as a volunteer for the San Francisco Legal Aid Society, the San Francisco Bar Association’s Tenant Advocacy Project, and as volunteer for the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office.

Originally from Southern California, I hold a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco. My husband and I are raising three daughters and are 19-year residents of Foster City.

I have worked tirelessly in the last decade for several successful candidates and campaigns.  I am running to represent District 21 as a delegate because I believe in the power of local, grassroots campaigns that bring diverse voices together in a way that allows everyone to be heard and valued.  I know that through education, we can unite and rally our communities with a goal of greater inclusion and participation in our political process.
