Sarah Fields
I am a devoted Democrat and community member. I previously served as the Northern Vice Chair of the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee and I am a past President of the Peninsula Young Democrats (PYD).
Professionally, I am the Director of Community Engagement and Public Affairs for LifeMoves, a nonprofit social service organization serving homeless individuals and families in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. In that capacity, I work closely with elected officials, community leaders, and the press in representing the organization to the public.
I am deeply dedicated to building community and creating vibrancy in our local cities. To that end, I also serve as an appointed member of the City of San Mateo's Parks and Recreation Commission and the Board of Directors for the Peninsula Multifaith Coalition.
Originally from San Diego, I have called San Mateo my home since 2016. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Metropolitan Studies and Politics from New York University and a Master of Urban Planning from City University of New York, Hunter College.
Since moving to San Mateo, I have been active in local politics and have worked in numerous campaigns for local measures and for candidates.
