Elmer Martinez Saballos

I am a lifelong Democrat born and raised in the City of Redwood City, where I now serve on the City Council representing the 4th District.

 

Prior to my service on the City Council, I served on the Planning Commission and as co-chair for the Palm Park & Stambaugh-Heller Neighborhood Associations.

 

As a committed Democrat, I am an alternate member of the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee on which I serve as a member of the Executive Board as the Recording Secretary. I am currently Vice President of the Peninsula Young Democrats and am also a founding member & former Political Director of the San Mateo County LatinX Democratic Club.

 

Professionally, I work as the Director of Communications for the Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County, Inc. Previously, I worked as a district representative for former State Senator Jerry Hill and former Assemblymember and Congressman Kevin Mullin, where I directly assisted constituents navigate state government resources during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In addition to my professional roles, I volunteer to support community events, like Cañada College’s OYE Youth Conference, and I am a Chamber San Mateo County Leadership Program graduate.
